Abstract
This article aims to analyze the experiences of female workers in Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS), focusing on the relationships between productive and reproductive work. To this end, an integrative literature review was carried out, encompassing 27 articles published over the last 10 years, between 2015 and 2025, selected from the SciELO, LILACS, and CAPES Journals databases, following PRISMA guidelines and using the term “CAPS” to select the
studies. Scientific articles written in Portuguese, whether empirical or theoretical, that aligned with the objectives of this study were included. The analysis revealed that these workers face work overload and precarious labor conditions, associated with intensified working hours and the devaluation of care practices. The intersections of gender, race, and class proved central to understanding the challenges faced by these professionals, who are often rendered invisible in institutional discussions. The study highlights the need for public policies that promote better working conditions and recognize the central role of these women in the production of mental health care.
