Abstract

This integrative review aims to know how different social actors understand the socio-educational measures applied to adolescents in Brazil. The search for articles was performed in the following databases: SciELO, Pepsic, IndexPsi, BVS, SCOPUS, Psycinfo, Web of Science. Established as period the validity of the Statute of Children and Adolescents. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 13 articles were selected. Text analysis was categorized into four themes: a) repressive practices as a control instrument; b) guarantee of rights as protective factors; c) educational and affective practices as reflective instruments; d) life projects: changes and future perspectives. The results show that different social actors understand socio-educational measures according to their experiences. Thus, some adolescents represent it as punitive, while others as an opportunity for reflection and change; professionals report the devaluation of their activities; Families see the measures as protective for adolescents.
