Intervenções no contexto escolar para depressão em crianças e adolescentes: uma scoping review
Abstract
Programs for the prevention or reduction of depressive symptoms in groups of children and adolescents can contribute to the promotion of mental health in the school context, however, it is necessary to expand a comprehensive understanding of intervention that include the international and national literature. The purpose of this study was to map interventions aimed at preventing depression in children and adolescents in the school context. A scoping review is a review method used to obtain an overview of available evidence. The sample (N = 37) included publications that presented the countries of origin, study design, sample size, age of participants, type of program/intervention, in addition to the instruments used and positive outcomes to depression. In general, the interventions conducted showed positive outcomes in relation to the reduction of depression symptoms in the target audience, however, most interventions maintained results for up to six months after the programs were applied. The present review suggests a lack of national references that consider preventive programs, in addition to advocating the implementation of interventive programs in school.
