Aplicação da Análise Microgenética de Videogravação para Caracterização das Interações Lúdicas entre Humanos e Cães

Abstract

We propose an adaptation of the microgenetic analysis method, originating from Developmental Psychology, for the study of interspecific social interactions, using human-dog interactions as an example. We conducted an exploratory-descriptive study to characterize human-dog interaction by investigating the interactive flows of communicative exchanges and social regulations occurring in domestic settings, while also reflecting on the advantages and limitations of this analytical tool. For the analysis, we used videos of dogs and their caregivers engaged in playful interactions, which were submitted by the caregivers themselves. After describing the analyses, we concluded that the microgenetic approach was effective for this field of study, as it allowed for the description and examination of ontogenetic transformation processes that contributes to research on the developmental environment of dogs and human-dog interactions.
