Abstract

Social skills are important resources throughout human development, as well as realizing the meaning of life. The objective was to review the scientific literature regarding prevention/promotion programs aimed at adolescents in a school context, focusing on social skills and/or the meaning of life. To this end, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) protocol was used, searching articles indexed in the Jstor, PsycInfo, Scopus, ERIC and Web of Science databases in the last 10 years, using the descriptors “logoterapy”, “meaning in life”, “social skills”, “school”, “adolescent”, “promotion”, “prevention” and “intervention”. Were found 24 articles, of which 21 programs focused on social skills, 2 addressed the meaning of life, and 1 both themes. The studies pointed to programs with multicomponents, of different complexities, applied in different school contexts, which responded to the objectives outlined and with different methodological designs. It is concluded that programs that work on social skills and meaning in life are scarce and non-existent in school contexts.
